Dear Church Leader,
From the very beginning, the Church has been a place of refuge— a safe space where people can find hope, healing, and belonging. At The Mom Community, we share that same vision for mothers in Atlanta who are searching for stability and support.
Today, too many moms face the challenge of raising children without a strong foundation of housing, community, or resources. Scripture reminds us in Isaiah 1:17 to “learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.” Through your partnership, we can live out this call together— creating a safe space for moms where they are not only housed, but also supported for personal growth, parenting guidance, career advancement and community connection.
Over the past four years, The Mom Community has served as that refuge for dozens of mothers and children.
However, the need is great, and we cannot do this work alone. This is where the Church — your church — can stand in the gap, embodying the words of Galatians 6:2:

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
We invite you to join us in nurturing A Safe Space for Moms, by partnering in three ways: a financial commitment, volunteer service, and advocacy. Your partnership will help us expand our reach, deepen our impact, and reflect the heart of Christ in tangible ways to families who need it most.
Thank you for considering this invitation. We believe that with your support, we can build not only a safe space for moms, but a stronger, more hopeful future for generations to come.
The Mom Community was founded in 2020, with a simple but powerful question: What do young moms need in order to reach stability?
The answer was clear.
Moms already have love, however, they need support and resources.

This vision shaped The Mom Community into what it is today—a place to belong, rooted in dignity, and designed as a safe space for holistic support that goes far beyond temporary solutions. Housing may be the first piece of the puzzle, but it is not the whole picture. Alongside a stable home, we empower mothers through vital home management and life skills training; comprehensive parenting education and resources for pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond; mentorship, counseling, and tools for personal and emotional growth; career development opportunities such as job training, GED preparation, and skill-building; and, perhaps most importantly, a community of support that anchors and encourages each family on their journey toward lasting stability.
Our approach is unique because we choose depth over breadth and quality over quantity. Stability and healing rarely follow a straight path. With room for three moms and their babies at a time in our 2-year Residential Program, we walk closely with each family, offering the kind of long-term, relational support that transforms lives. Through our Mommy Mentorship Program we partner with moms through the hard and messy seasons, providing flexible, real-time support and empowering them to grow and change. Finally, our Baby Supply Closet helps dozens of families grow with dignity ensuring they have the baby essentials, clothing, and gear they need.
Even for TMC Alumni, the home has become a hub for connection and a safe space for resources and guidance as they continue building their futures. We are a responsive community that journeys with moms in the slow deep work of lasting transformation, ensuring they are never alone on the path from surviving to striving to thriving.
In 2023 and 2024, The Mom Community made an amazing difference. We have provided 940+ nights of housing, walked alongside 299 families in crisis, and received 186 applications from moms seeking residential support. Through our holistic programming, moms have received over 850+ hours of mentorship, attended 75+ classes and support groups, and engaged in 104 therapy sessions. We’ve driven 5,100 miles to ensure moms and babies get where they need to be, supplied more than $16,830+ in baby and postpartum essentials, and welcomed the dedication of volunteers who have contributed over 750 hours of their time. Behind every number is a story of a mom and child finding safety, support, and hope for a brighter future.

A Safe Space for Moms is a space where a mom can shed her armor, receive encouragement, and envision a future for her family that’s not defined by mere survival.
When moms have a safe space, they can heal, build stability, and provide the kind of nurturing environment their children need to thrive.
Your gift turns a roof overhead into a place of true refuge by breaking through the barriers of shame and replacing them with open doors to compassion, opportunity, and lasting change.
Help us continue to create “A Safe Space for Moms” because when mothers have safety and support, families thrive.
